Solan a small town in Himachal Pradesh , India. The place is named after goddess Shoolini Mata. It is at an average elevation of 1600 meters. Capital of the early Baghat Estate.Famous for mushroom cultivation , tomatoes , Pea, apricot, kiwi,etc. It lies in the lower Himalayan range. It's a beautiful town with ancient temples and monasteries. Ideal place for routine travellers from around Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Chandigarh to spend time on the weekend.
